Caption: Middle mouse click was mushy on opening the box. It died two days ago. Didn’t drop it. I think the convex switch was damaged and just became concave. Pic: Wheel assembly removed
Caption: Yellow switch is the middle mouse click button and thought to find something similar on Digi-Key or somewhere. I think they are called capacitive switches.

Caption: It’s hard to see at any angle but you can sort of see here that it’s concave now. It’s not always clicking. There is still some play but no tactile click and it triggers scrolling.
Caption: Potential replacement switch. This is the EG5470CT-ND. It is a nice switch I use in some builds. A bit larger but I think it might be a better click than this ever was. Thoughts?
